The Virginia Student Film Festival, April 9-10, is a competitive festival open to undergraduate students enrolled in any university in the United States. Students can submit their films into 1 of 4 genres: narrative, documentary, experimental, and new this year, music video. Each genre is evaluated by our panel of judges that have extensive experience in the film and television industry.

The Department of Communication at Northern Illinois University is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the 10th Annual Reality Bytes Independent Student Film Festival! This year's festival features two categories, short documentary and short fiction, and will be held April 8-10, 2010. Additionally, this year we will be offering a first place prize in each category of $300.00. Films must be 30 minutes or less and must have been produced by the student(s) within the past two years. Films dealing with any subject matter and in any genre will be considered for screening. Please encourage all accomplished student filmmakers to apply today - early entry fee is just $20.00! Early-bird deadline is February 19, Late deadline March 12, Withoutabox extended deadline March 19.
